Who we are

Sugar Cascade ("the App") is published by Mateusz Jamróz ("we", "us"), an individual developer. Contact: mateusz.jamroz@carrotly.tech.

Summary

The App has no accounts and no ads, and we never sell or share your data. To improve the game, it sends anonymous gameplay statistics (for example which levels are too hard) that are not linked to your name, e-mail or any other identity. You can switch this off at any time in Settings → Share game stats.

Data stored on your device

Your game progress (levels, stars, coins and other in-game items, settings such as sound and haptics) is saved only in the App's private storage on your device. It never leaves your device and we cannot access it. Deleting the App deletes this data.

Anonymous gameplay statistics

What is collected: game events such as app opened, session length, screens viewed, level started / won / lost (level number, stars, score, drops, time spent), boosters used and features unlocked; together with a random install ID generated by the App, the app version, the device model, the iOS version and the language setting. Your IP address is processed by our analytics provider to estimate your country.

What is not collected: your name, e-mail, contacts, photos, precise location, the advertising identifier (IDFA) or anything you type. The random install ID cannot be used to identify you, and the data is not combined with data from other apps or websites (no tracking).

Why: to see where players get stuck, balance level difficulty and fix problems. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the App (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); you can object at any time by switching the statistics off.

Who processes it: PostHog Inc., our analytics provider, on its EU cloud (servers in the European Union). We do not sell or share the statistics with anyone else.

How to switch it off: Settings (gear icon) → Share game stats → off. From then on nothing is sent and events not yet sent are deleted from your device. Deleting the App also deletes the install ID.

No advertising

The current version of the App contains no advertising and no advertising SDKs, and it does not ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

Purchases

The current version of the App offers no in-app purchases. All in-game currencies and items are earned by playing and have no real-world monetary value.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information such as name or e-mail. The anonymous statistics described above can be switched off by a parent in Settings.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can object to the statistics (switch them off in Settings) and ask us about the data processed. Because the statistics are tied only to a random install ID, we can find your data only if you send us that ID; otherwise we have no way to link any data to you. If you contact us by e-mail, we use your address only to reply. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Poland: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych).

Changes

If we change what data the App processes, we will update this policy before releasing that version and change the date above.
